When we are with Jesus Christ, even the bad situations in life can be peaceful. If we have never been in a tough situation before, then going through a tough time for the first time is scary. But that’s what builds faith. By going through struggles, by seeing a grim future, we build faith, because we will see God pull us out of it. And God is always faithful to pull us out of trouble. No problem is too big for him to solve. It isn’t right for us to say Yeah, God helped me out last time, but this time could be different. It’s better for us to have faith. It’s better for us to believe in our hearts that God will show up when we need him to. And when we finally believe in our hearts that God is bigger than this world, we will be more willing to give to others who are in need. That forty bucks that we gave to the homeless will no longer be an anxiety attack waiting to happen, because we know that in Jesus Christ, we have a friend who can provide.
God will continue to build our lives. He will not only see us through when we are weak, but if we continue to follow his ways, he will continue to put us in better positions.
But that’s not all. God covers all areas of our lives. With Jesus Christ, we have a comforter. Not only does faith in Jesus Christ build peace in us, but the Holy Spirit comforts us when we are sad. The Holy Spirit teaches us how to solve problems and leads us to solutions when we are stuck.
In all areas of our lives, God is there for us. When we are poor, he will look out for us. When we have done wrong, he will forgive us without fines. When we are angry, he will counsel us. Jesus Christ has turned this world upside down. God has made it possible for the weak to become strong, because when we are weak, God asks us to put our strength in him, the Almighty.
Jesus Christ is here so that bad things can’t win, so that bad things can’t keep pushing us further and further into darkness. God is good, and without good to battle the bad, we would all be in severe trouble. Thankfully, help is here, waiting for us to accept it. Friends, believe in Jesus Christ and know that he loves us, provides for us and protects us when it seems like nobody else will.
Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God. Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me (Jesus). Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven…” (Matthew 5:3-12)
